The Arboras village 12th century. The Arboras castle 17th century. Mentioned in 1224, it was a Protestant fortress before being destroyed in 1582, then reconstructing in the second half of the 17th century. Registered under the historical monuments since 1990.

In the distance, the telecommunication tower of MOUNT SAINT-BAUDILLE, 848 m, to 4 km as the crow flies.

ARBORAS is a french commune, located in the department of the Herault of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 95 Arborassiens in 2009, distributed on 6.7km², that is to say 14.1 hab./km².

Arboras is a village of piémont, located between the wine plain of Hérault, the Causse d'Arboras, and the Causse of Larzac.
Located over the buttresses of Larzac, it dominates the plain and its villages, and is dominated by the 848 m of the Saint-Baudille MountSaint-Baudille Mount, of the Séranne mountain.

At the outlet of a draille, the village was located on an important passage of transhumance.

A wine of quality here is produced at foot of the castle, of 17th century.

A pleasant rural scene from the south of France with the vineyards forming neat repetitive patterns. Good sharpness & natural looking color. The yellow green vegetation contrasts well against the pastel blue sky. Merci pour ce partage!

Hello Joël,
The eyes move naturally up the frame, across the vineyards toward the village then up the craggy hillside culminating in the focal point offered by the telecommunications mast. I like the warm light and tones and the pleasant peaceful atmosphere.

Are you familiar with the area around Aix-en-Provence? I have been there before but it is many years ago, so I have decided to go there again this summer. Do you have any recommendations?

Voilà un village dont j'avais beaucoup apprécié la visite . Le point de vue est ici très bon , avec le Mont St Baudille qui apparait en fond de décor , et les feuilles d'olivier au premier plan (je déguste en ce moment de délicieuses olives de Montpeyroux que j'avais apportées du séjour dans le secteur et oubliées au fond d'un placard) . Jolies couleurs automnales des vignes .

Bonjour Joel,

joli POV d'une grande profondeur de champ et fort bien "étagé" pour une belle image en relief.
NB: tes commentaires déjà très fouillés, à priori, ne suffisent plus, l'intérêt que tu développes pour ta région a besoin que tu y rajoutes les bonnes tables !!
Que c'est dur d'être un si bon ambassadeur ! ;)

La distance entre les champs et l'antenne donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs des maisons. La bonne luminosité valorise les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

All three pictures here are very good and they all show the pleasant landscape here on a beautiful autumn day. The trees along the hill and the vine below are showing autumnal colours. The landscape look quite familiar and very attractive. These are pictures that bring back pleasant memories!

I like the way you document many small rural placed throughout France. Places that never heared about, nor on the regular tourists routes.
This is what the essence of TE is all about. Cheers for that.
Fine mid-autumn picture over a valley with a small village within, surrounded by local agri-fields, and hilly terrain.
Good perspective to show long depth onto the top's.

Tous les éléments d'une photo de qualité sont réunis : belle lumière, les vignes et les feuilles d'olivier au premier plan, le château au centre de l'image et le pylône qui pointe le bout de son nez, à l'arrière-plan !

Hello Joel,

You're capturing well this landscape by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the small village of the foot of a mountain and segmented cultivated field. It's impressive in rich greenery with trees around the village as well as the telecommunication tower in the distance, too. It looks like peaceful village.
