From Larzac to Herault plains.

One sight.
Other sight.
Transhumance of ewes from Causse of Larzac to the plains of Hérault.

The reverse transhumance of the ewes, arrivals to feed at the beginning of the summer on the pastures of Causse of the larzac, and which go down again towards the plains of the hérault, passing under the Saint-Baudille Mount and crossing in the descent, the Village of Arboras.
They are accompanied shepherds and shepherdesses, with Patou and Border collie dogs.

Arboras is a village of piémont, located between the wine plain of Hérault, the Causse of Arboras, and the Causse of Larzac.
Located over the buttresses of Larzac, it dominates the plain and its villages, and is dominated by the 848 m of the Saint-Baudille MountSaint-Baudille Mount, of the Séranne mountain.

Arboras is a french commune, located in the department of the Herault of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 74 Arborassiens in 1999, distributed on 7km², that is to say 11 hab./km².

At the outlet of a draille, the village was located on an important passage of transhumance.
Its construction was spread out of XIIe century at the XIXe century.

A wine of quality here is produced at foot of the castle, of 17th century.

My images of Arboras.
