Photographer’s Note

Speloncato (Speluncatu in Corsican) is a lovely village in the region of Balagne. It is situated in elevation of about 500 m above the sea level on a steep rock just below the Monte Grosso massif. Its name comes from nearby caves (spelunche in Corsican).

Speloncato was our temporary home in Corsica. We arrived there in Saturday evening and I took this photo the next morning. It shows a beautiful Baroque style Eglise St. Michel, one of the two churches in the village. The second one serves as a town hall and you can see it on this Pierre's picture.

A beautiful view of this village. The road acts as a nice lead in the photo. The image is well composed, nice and sharp and has great natural colours. Nice work and thanks for sharing.

A beautiful scene, Marek
I love the way the curve of the road and the walls lead the eye into the distance and out of sight - it looks like a really nice road to walk down. The hilltop village, with its pretty belltower and with the warm earth tones pf its walls against the clear blue sky is excellent and inviting.

Les couleurs sont belle il y a pas de probleme mais je trouve que la route prend trop d'importance enfin d'apres moi .L'equilibre est quand même bon sur la photo entre tous les elements .

Corsica from my imaginations - small byroad leading upwards through the greenery, reddish architecture, dominating bell tower - all against deep blue sky.
Lovely image, Marek, in great clarity and exceptional colorsetting. Seems You had chosen the best possible season - early spring - for Your trip.
