Photographer’s Note

A last sight of the village of PIEDICROCE with this strange concentration of vehicles (bus, cars) in this season. It should be said that it is the fair at the village! Then, like there are no car parks, people are parked where they can, along the narrow road especially. Sometimes then, it is necessary to walk more than one km to arrive on the spot.
There are many small fairs of village in CORSICA in which one finds presented traditional products (cutlery, potteries, woodcarving, pipes, etc), coming from local agriculture (animals, honey, pork-butchery, cheeses, pastry makings, sweet chestnuts, etc).
These fairs are held every year, according to an identical calendar, and create a little animation in these villages deserted except summer season.

The pic one was treated usual manners (size, levels, luminosity/contrast, sharpness, cropping). I am not satisfied with the result.
I hope however that you will like it.

pitty its the last view of the place as it is really a lovely one - nearly wild place in the high mountains; sad its the last, we'll miss it

De ce point de vue le village semble beaucoup moins isolé que dans les précédentes. Bonne idée de l'avoir présenté Pierre car elle nous montre le coté inévitable de ces endroits pitoresques, la présence des toursites.
Une bonne prise.

A very good and sharp landscape image, Pierre. I like the brown hues and the vertical lines of the trees. The color of the clouds fits the atmosphere nicely. Good shot.

L'image est belle, les couleurs sont un peu identiques partout, c'est la saison mais le contraste est excellent et la mise au point parfaite. Amicalement Pierre./jr

Bonsoir Pierre,
Les routes sont sinueuses et étroites ; je me demande comment les cars peuvent circuler en toute quiétude !
Un paysage toujours étonnant, l'on dirait qu'une partie de la montagne a été l'objet d'un incendie ?
