Photographer’s Note

PIEDICROCE (450m – 119 inhabitants) is a village of Castagniccia, wooded microrégion in the south of BASTIA mainly of chestnuts, from where its name.
This green and accessible area is strewn with multitude pretty small villages the majority perched on rock pitons or the peaks of mountains.
At the northern entry of the village, this church baroque rises proudly in a bosky bower,
A little ahead, is an old convent ruins some that I will present to you tomorrow.
