Photographer’s Note

A masterpiece of Roman, San Michele is the church's best-known for its Corsica décor. It dates from the 12th sc and was built by Pisani. The serpentine of the river and limestone Bevincu Saint Florent make a checkerboard beautiful colors. But it is especially sculptures that attract the eye. Places of justice, it is decorated with allegories judicial as well as portraits of lords donors. Two sculptures are obscene, enough to be shocked Mérimée.
The stone was decorated with geometric patterns very enigmatic as the presence of angels and vines.
The campanile (bell tower) was too high rebuilt during the restoration of the late 19th.
