Photographer’s Note

In the west of the CORSICA CAPE on the commune of MORSIGLIA, here splendid PECORILLE with its 4 square towers. Most beautiful is in top of the village is 16 meters top and a decoration of holes, those having been used for the scaffolding. There is also the Vault San ROCCU of the 17 E century.
MORSIGLIA holds its name of the Greek moros "imposed by the destiny" and sàlos "anchorage". It was controlled by Genoa in 1592, then by Pascal Paoli in 1757.
It should be noted that MORSIGLIA was devastated by the Barbaresque ones in 1563 and 1669.
