I've seen a dam once at night but it did not appear as strong as this one in the darkness. I like how we can see some of the lines of the landscape in the darkness and how they all move the eye to the dam. And if that wasn't enough the dam is so bright and has so much energy in it. The lights signal electric and the fast flow of water captures sound and motion as well as visual. The mist as it comes through the gates and the streaks as it moves down the river add a powerful dynamism to this structure. It's such a contrast from the still night beyond. But even there the energy from the dam is radiated over with the grain of the image. So it has a charge throughout. Nicely done. Great idea to capture it at night rather than in the day.
