Photographer’s Note

Overhanging in the east the plain of CALENZANA and MONTEGROSSO with a uninterrupted view on CALVI bay, dominating LUMIO and MONTEMAGGIORE, and in the west a string of delightful small villages of which some were already presented (AREGNO and LAVATOGGIO) until ALGAJOLA in edge of sea, the plateau of Bocca di SALVI (Collar of SALVI – 509 m) is an ideal geographical point to establish various relays (television, radio, telephone, etc.).
The mountainous chain, very been windy, is the subject of a project of establishment of a small park of wind mills (5 to my knowledge) on the commune of LAVATOGGIO, but which would be visible only of one of the eleven villages of the circumference. It is not yet carried out.
Here is an image after the passage of the flames at the time of the fire which had occurred on the commune of CALENZANA on last 30 June.

I could not conceal you these images of desolation. Do I have to continue?
Thank you to answer me.
