Trekking through the valley Restonica to Corte was arduous, beautiful and WET. Here you see the citadel of Corte after we were refreshed, showered and brave enough to put our walking boots on again:)

Hello Elaine,

I was in Corsica two days before your photo was shot, and I remember the fresh rainy weather in Corte and in Bastia... Good viewpoint over the citadel and Tavignano's Valley ! I hope you visited the museum, which allows you to discover very interesting collections.

Beautiful colours, composition and atmosphere with the citadel guarding over the community. I am glad you did get brave again after the wet trek.

What a stunning view, the eyecatching citadel seems to be stuck on top of the rocky formation like this! A striking landscape with a great sense of immense depth and wonderful effect in the darker sky area and it does have a surreal quality about it with mysterious feel. This aslo brings out the textures and draws the eyes to main focal of interest conveying a certain atmosphere and mood of the place so well. Well done, Congrats.
