Photographer’s Note

Here the old "Grand Hotel Continental " which was repurchased by the C.T.C. (Local Authority of CORSICA) to shelter the seat of the Regional Parliament of Corsica.
He is located Grandval Avenue, in the Foreigners' district.
Small recall on the rise of the city:
In 1860 a new district is created in AJACCIO, the Foreigners' district.
It is a district of luxury, sheltered winds come from the North and Is, which develops then thanks to the count Bacciochi, chamberlain of the Emperor Napoleon III.
In addition, Miss Campbell, a Scottish aristocrat, who had settled definitively in the city, invited her many relations to remain there. She even made build the church Anglican for the English visitors come in holiday.
Several hotels whose prestigious " Grand Hotel Continental ", " Cyrnos-Palace ", "Germania Hotel" and of cottages on Grandval Avenue, were built at that time to increase the capacity of reception.

The saturation is very nice.
This should be of mediterranean sun :)

On a aussi les batiments du parlement de Bretagne à Rennes,transformés en tribunaux de la justice Française.. je vois que les corses ont des avantages que nous n'avons pas :))))

C'est un très beau monument et tant mieux qu'il ait pu être racheté par le CTC.

A good architectural shot, although highlights are slightly blown out. It almost looks tropical with all the palm trees & vegetation. C'est tres jolie.

Hi Pierre, A nice courtyard of the parliament. I like your frame of the photo using the foreground trees, made the view natural. A good composition with clear contrast, and nice clarity.

A nice shot of the old building, Pierre, with a reasonable straightforward framing. The lush springtime colors of the elaborate garden in the foreground are delightful. It could have been good to step down the exposure just a little to have the façade appear a little less bright. Interesting note.

A very beautiful architecture view, the palmtrees against the front give a nice composition, splendid generally colours.
