Photographer’s Note
Another image captured close to Mougins, in the La Valmasque Park; dozens of ducks mallards and other birds were flying all around the Etang de Font Merle.
This time a couple of mallards was swimming around the pond with wonderful reflections on the water.
The emerald green of the Valmasque forest on a side and the sand tones reflections of common reeds.
I like this reflections for the "Impressionism effect" that they build on the water surface thanks to the small waves.

Ciao Paolo.
Bel colpo.
Buona giornata.
Bobo.

The image has a surprising effect as the reflections look as if the image should be rotated 90°. ;D Obviously not; unless these are very clever ducks. The wake from the ducks is a strong feature of the image. Well done

Hi Paolo
Waiting for the ducks to move into the area containing the brown reflection was a good move both compositionally and from the standpoint of colour contrast. Nicely done.

Paolo, j'aime le parallélisme des sillages des deux compères sur cette eau aux beaux reflets.
Que du plaisir !

Ciao Paolo
I like the composition, to me it lacks a little sharpness, but I like the colour contrast in the water and the trails of the ducks.
nice shot

Hi Paolo,
I like your duck series and I love the way that your impressionistic style always has a very thoughtful rendition of the interplay of opposite colors (yellow vs blue, warm vs cool and now a reddish hue vs the green). You are very observant of colors and patterns and this is a lovely and most interesting mixture of opposite colors. I just noticed that the ruddy reds have vertical wave patterns and the olive greens have horizontal patterns. Your photos always have more than meets the eye at first glance. A very original and very beautiful image!

Hi Paolo,
Great shot. I love the shimering colers and reflections. The pair of ducks are a fine feature presented in good light. TFS. Gerald

GReat use of the reflections in order to divide the Box composition, the malards really look peacefull, cruising out as if the photographer was absent, which gives a good angle. I'm wondering if the image could be a little crisper, perhaps a little sharpening would help?

Hi Paolo!
You placed the ducks perfect in the frame and I like how the color of the water changes from brown to green, thanks to the nice reflections.I also like the tracks left behind the ducks, like from motorboats.
Have a nice sunday,
regards,leo
