Photographer’s Note
Candy
Candy told me nothing really matters anymore
And when I ask her what she means she says I ought to know
Candy said she's made arrangements for me in the sand
And Candy said she wants me with her down in Candyland
Candy says she wonders why we try
I couldn't think of what to say
I had no ready reply
But Candy says I'd like it where she is
She says it's an opportunity that I don't want to miss
Candy said she's made arrangements for me in the sand
And Candy said she wants me with her down in Candyland
Candy said she wants me with her down in Candyland
Candy asked me if she died if I could go on
Of course I said I couldn't and of course we knew that's wrong
But Candy I said Candy no you can't do that to me
Because you love me way to much for you to ever leave
Candy said she's made arrangements for me in the sand
And Candy said she wants me with her down in Candyland
Candy said she's made arrangements for me in the sand
And Candy said she wants me with her down in Candyland
Candy said she wants me with her down in Candyland

Morphine - Cure for pain
Recorded at : Fort Apache / Hi-N-Dry, Cambridge, MA.
Released : 1993
Label : Rykodisc
Manufacturer and Marketer : Rykodisk #RCD 10262
Morphine was a three-piece rock band formed in 1990 by Mark Sandman in Boston, MA.
Sandman was something of a veteran of the Boston underground scene and was active in many bands, including Treat Her Right, and the Pale Brothers.
Morphine's sound and instrumentation could be considered unusual in modern popular music:
baritone saxophone (played by Dana Colley),
percussion (played by Billy Conway and/or Jerome Deupree),
Sandman's own two-string slide bass, and the smooth vocals.
There were significant jazz and blues elements as well.
Morphine recorded their debut album, Good, for the Rykodisc label in 1991.
The album received positive reviews and established a small but devoted audience.
Their second album, Cure for Pain, was released in 1993.
Next Ryko release in 1995, "Yes".
In 1996 Morphine signed to Dreamworks Records and released their major label debut, Like Swimming, the following year.
On July 3, 1999, Sandman collapsed on stage at the Giardini del Principe in Palestrina (near Rome).
He was soon pronounced dead of a heart attack. He was 46.

Hi Paolo,
looks like a warm shot for christmas. The very glow of commercialism I now associate with Christmas but also a touch of the old world tradition when kids would be happy to get a candy cane (now they would write on their blog about how awful their parents are if they dont get a Play Station 2).

Hi Palolo,
the difference of light from the outside to the inside was a hard job to manage, but you succeeded to offer this nice perspective inside the candy shop.
This is avery afective matter with this colors and situation, and the note goes well with.
Compliments for this "candyland"

Bonjourno Paolo
I like the warm colors & ambient lighting. Well managed interior lighting too. I like the receding linear perspective & pasrtial silhouettes of the shoppers. Bellisimo! Bella photo.

Hello Paolo. I like your sense of humor with the Candy letter on the note. I like the angle used for the composition, because it creates depth. The colors are very nice and warm. A very appealing candy store. I think the definition can be improved a little bite. Good job. Regards, Gabriel

Ciao Paolo,
Complimenti per questa foto molto "dolce", e' una giusta immagine natalizia! E' stato interessante e anche un po' commovente leggere a proposito del tema il testo della canzone e la commemorazione di Sandman.
Grazie e ciao

A nice picture of this candy store. It seems you took this picture before the christmas shopping rush. But that s understandable because of the type of lighting in the store.
Thank you for your visit and comments on my photo, "Lands End".

Ciao Paolo! The kind of candy store I miss... perhaps it is better so... I couldn't resist! :-) Love the ambiance, the colours, the delicate nature of these lovely places, where all is revered. Nothing is inferior, this is where real democracy dwells! :-)
Ciao! Happy new year for you and your lovely family!
