It's true that on Saint Martin island in the French West Indies one finds more white sand beaches than of pastures… but in the center of theisland, there are nevertheless some meadows where the green grass undulates with the winds, it's the privileged territory of the goats !

Quelle belle scène champêtre que celle-ci !
J'aime cette sensation de liberté et d'espace dans une nature à l'état brut. Ces cabris semblent les plus heureux du monde.

Quelle magnifique image , avec cette herbe aux tons magnifiques , qui ondule au gré du vent . Les petites chévres , les collines et un ciel superbe , complètent cette merveilleuse composition .
Une photo qui nous donne envie de découvrir cette île pour autre chose que ces plages de rêve .

Bonjour jean,

Les chèvres de l'avant-plan donne de la profondeur à la photo et dirige notre regard vers les montagnes de l'arrière-plan. Tu as bien saisi l'effet du vent sur l'herbe ce qui est un atout à la composition. La lumière a un bel effet sur les couleurs qui agrémente ce paysage. Bonne journée.

C'est marrant ce paysage de lande où l'on se croirait plus en Ecosse que sous les tropiques. La composition est nickel et tu as parfaitement dirigé tes 2 modèles préférés au premier plan.

Hopefully some of the Caribbean islands will retain their rural past. I see too many condos going up down there and that is a shame. I stayed near this part of the island which I prefer to the crowed Dutch side. Thanks for sharing.

What a lovely hilly landscape, Jean.Its an excellent POV and splendid composition. Territory of the goats is excellent.With pastures green grass, in opened field, the cheese must be fantastic.

j'étais loin de m'imaginer qu'il y avait de tels paysages dans cette île,habitués que nous sommes à ne voir que des photos de plages paradisiaques!Celle-ci est splendide,j'adore la texture des herbes,et leur couleur dorée fait un magnifique contraste avec le ciel sombre!La lumière est bien evidemment extraordinaire,et les chèvres semblent bien tranquilles dans cette vaste étendue d'herbes!Superbe!

Great POV and perfect timing.I like the composition with the two goats in the foreground,in oposite position.The image has a good depth with the other ones in the distance,the trees and this mountan.Very nice green tones and good contrast with this blue/grey sky.

Hello Jean,
This is one beautiful photo with all the green along the photo and the goats spread thru it.
The different tones and directions of the grass gives the sensation of motion that you soeak in your note like if the invisible wind was touching and shaking them from one side to the toher.
The contrast of the green with the sky's tones are great.

Jean,
what a WONDERFUL image. The colors and the texture of the grass is so beautiful and has a perfect contrast with the dark sky. I virtually can see how the wind strokes through the grass and gives the different hues and patterns. The goats are obviously the little icing on the cake, although I think they would have been better sligthly to the right corner.
