Fort Louis was built in 1789 to protect Marigot's warehouses from the frequent raids being staged by British pirates based on nearby Anguilla. Today not much remains of Fort Louis other than some partially intact stone walls and a couple of cannons, but the hilltop location offers outstanding views of Marigot Harbor and is an excellent place for watching beautiful Caribbean sunsets.

Your composition is great here showing the flag and the harbor below. The lighting is very good but the blues are a bit overdone (PP). The photo has excellent sharpness and a fine DOF. I have a photo from the other side in my gallery from last summer. Fort Luis

This is a beautiful view, and I love the blue color of the water. The stone wall, along with the French flag, make a really nice foreground. It's always interesting to see a mix of Europe and the Caribbean.

You strongly underline that it belongs to France :-)

Amazing light, amazing colors !! The colors of sea are so unbelievable. That's an impressive place. And including the flag creates some originality. Well done.

Well that's a part of France I'd love to visit!
I like the repetition of the french flag colours (blue as the sea & sky; white as the clouds and red as the little ship in the harbour)
Thanks a lot
