Monument like old anchor in Gustavia, the tiny capital of St. Barthelémy. Gustavia was built around a natural harbour by Swedes who possessed the island between 1784 and 1878.

... plus a car and a scooter, the first of which is perturbating somewhat your composition, great light though and a luminous impression + of course the tropical feeling
Have a nice day JY

Very interesting composition and excellent colours.
I am not seaman, but I can image a size of a boat for this anchor... Impressive ancient ship, I think.

Hello Kari ,
A pitty that the car was there , because the POV is very well chosen to create this interesting composition .
A fine white chapel between plam trees , too . and good contrasts with the rusty anchor .

This is a well composed shot using the anchor to frame the church. You POV is great as is the DOF here. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has excellent sharpness and DOF. The only problem here is the car!

The clarity of the shot is excellent. The anchor almost seems to be coming out of my screen.
Beautiful colours. Very well framed.

Hi Kari, I am fascinated with photos having their subject as anchors. They're interesting and always provide a great perspective. I would have loved to see what you could have done with your 10-22mm lens up close, I know you're not a big fan of distortion, but I am and I think this would have made a really dramatic shot. As it is, the photo is impressive even with the 240-105mm, the colours are lovely and rich and the image - as always - is sharp as a tack. TFS and I wish you a good weekend, Lisa
