Photographer’s Note
Another end of a perfect day for surfing.
Remember that anytime you're looking out your office window, someone on a beach looks at the waves on the horizon.
Remember when carrying your files to this so important meeting, a surfer holds his board out of the water.
Remember when spilling your coffee cup on your perfectly white shirt, that there could be some flare on the image.
... and most of all, remember there will be no refund for the past day (thanks for the last sentence, Gal).
Roches Noires at Réunion island again.

Hello Luko,
Une délicieuse photo, avec ces silhouettes qui se détachent sur un coucher de soleil.
Le ciel et les reflets dans l'eau sont superbes.

Interesting sentiment both from you and Gal.
It is a pity your surfer is leaving the frame, if he/she was entering it would have complimented the gaze of your other two silhouettes and your sentiment, which I think is "carpe diam".
Thanks for sharing
p.s. Why did you choose such a high ISO?

Hi Luko,
WOW...I think that this one is better the other from the last post. Lovelly golden tones and a typical end of surfing day atmosphere. When I was a young boy, I used to do Bodyboard. Now 10 years later, 30 Kg. more and less hair, I can only remember these end of the days. Thank for this great remember. I believe that I still have my board on the garage.......
Take care

Hi Luko,
A weave of pattern, of coming and going and looking, then there are those gentle swells, with a few riders still in the water, the last glow caught in the cloud...I seem to get a whiff of the warm sultry air even here. Bravo! (who cares about the flare!)

BTW: what is the best route to this place?

A real surfin' safari picture. That hint of tropicalism in the right edge is what makes the picture for me. The way you composed this is very good also, placing all your subjects in the right half of the scene. Very good exposure.

Man, isn't flare great, Luko (when it's handled well). It's like it adds SHINE and extra class to a shot, and a touch of '60s photography too... It works wondrously here, like an accent aigu or circonflexe...;o)

hello Luko

Greetings from an ex-bodyboarder who really misses accelerating down the face of a wave!!!
I like the lens reflex on the right, don't know why... it just belongs there, I guess.
And I particularly like your note!

See… already two members moaning they’re EX-bodyboarders. We’re all EX-who we used to be, or EX-what we used to think. Nothing new on that side, the weight of Time usually ends up around our belly.
The drama is to become prematurely an EX-what we’d like to become. Keeping dreams at the state of dreams is a synonym of resignation. Abandoning a hypothetic ideal future before it even takes place. Of course that’s not new either; the Sex Pistols were yelling No Future! already 30 years ago.
I believe one can swim against the tide. A lot get in the water. But only a few can really swim.

And a beautiful shot again Luko, that last sentence from Gal seems to sum up this scene so well. Everybody reflecting on the day thats been and just from looking at this photo I feel like a beer.

Nice shot sir, Is the surf in France good? I have never been and wish to go someday! Very nice note and very nice lighting and details. I bodyboard with mates occasionally, but I am a shocker! haha. Thanks for sharing

Ca me parle cette photo!
Bien joue!

:) i have a soft spot in my heart for silhouettes and even more in this not too warm/not too cold/just as it should be sunset light and beautiful sky with just the perfect amount of clouds.
i like watching surfers whenever and if i get a chance. love the one man adventure and most of all his(hers) true and deep affair with the sea - because no matter how you look at it - surf is (like) love and taking risks and boldly facing whatever comes.
well seen,
dora
