Photographer’s Note
Bassin des Aigrettes à Saint-Gilles dans l'ouest de l'île. Un site autrefois très fréquenté mais qui malheuresement est aujourd'hui fermé par un arrété préfectoral et une grosse barrière en métal. C'est un peu dommage.

Hi Antonio,
Great capture, I really like the composition and the slow shutter speed effect on the waterfall. Exposure is very good.
You have wonderful images from a beautiful place - wish I can visit some day.
Just one question - why did you use the polarizer?

Hello Antonio,
Magnifique petit coin de paradis. Si le site est fermé, c'est sûrement pour le préserver de la bêtise humaine.
Très belle composition avec les plantes en avant-plan, bonne exposition. Bravo.
Amicalement

Beautiful image. The long exposure is perfect for this picture. The amount of detail captured is amazing. The sunlit area in the centre of the pool really draws the eye into the picture. Although the light area in the top left is quite strong it doesn't detract from the quality of the image.
Although a much smaller area, I do find that the small light area above the waterfall is a little distracting.
Still a great composition.
On the previously asked question about why use the polariser, my guess would be that it was used as an ND filter to slow things by 2 more stops. The lens was closed down as far as it will go and would only have given a 1/2 second exposure otherwise.

Hi Antonio,
excelent waterfall shot. Perfect light (I don't mind the small overburned places.. :o). Great colours. Well composed. Good job!

I am really impressed with the "live" movement of the water. The rest of the scenery is also very well combined. Good work!
