Photographer’s Note

15 Statues 2.5 meters height and weighing 4 tons are drawn up in the "Anse Cafard".
They were carried out at the time of the 150th anniversary of the abolition of slavery to point out a tragic event. In 1830 a clandestine slave ship was failed not far from there with 260 African on board. The statues look in the direction of the Golf of Guinea to point out the country of origins of the victims.
