Manta Rays pool Photo

Photographer’s Note

I took that image from the plane during the travel from Tahiti to Bora. The image is not good, the window was very dirty, but is one of the few images of Bora Lagoon that i have. The day after we broke 2 photocameras...
In the lower part of the image there is one of the biggest resort of the island (Le Meridien), with many over-water bungalows, located on a Motu. Our hotel, similar to that one was on the main island, in the middle of the lagoon.
The prices for a night in a over-water bungalow are completely out of ordinary; at least 500 euros per night.
The part of the Lagoon in front of that resort where the sea change colour, is well know for the strong presences of Giant Pacific Manta Ray.

What this incredible mint panorama here. Colors are fabulous. this is the paradise island but expansive one i can see. thanks to share this as 500euros per night i couldn't even on dream :-)

Same idea today, also seeking escape in the southern seas ???
Your photo seems to tilt a bit to the left but the greening of the sea and the rising mountains to the right are spectacular. We can also well see this famous hotel structure, looks like the arms of a lobster !

the colours are unbelievable, man - this is something that i have not seen in my life in one piece, i mean - i have seen the sea like this, i walked the golden sandy beaches, i swimmed among the lagoons and so on, but al of this in one piece!

Ive also not seen such colors. Its great. And if you didnt mention that windows ere dirty I wouldnt have really noticed. This kind of shot is almost like an abstract play with colors.

hi Paolo, i know it's hard to take good shots from a plane but this is still a fantastic view!you're so lucky to travel to places like that, the colours of the water are unbelievable.

Beautiful scenery and a beautiful picture! Yes, I have the same experience of shooting from the plane as it takes off and as it lands. The dirt on the window is just terrible and sometimes with heavy scratches!

I can´t resist to talk about this photo first. Bora Bora is one of the paradises on earth. I´ve been there in 1995 and I can´t wait for the next opportunity to play with that rays and black tip sharks. I think I don´t have any nice photo from the place, but it is all in my mind, or, in my heart.
The picture shows the traditional Polinesian postcard, with vivid colours and the always nice point of vision! Tfs! Maururu!
