Photographer’s Note

Another old one, from Bora Bora Lagoon, during a bad weather afternoon, with thunderstorms, powerfull wind and fantastic colours on the water. I was on the terrace of the overwater bungalow, looking to a small Motu.

A grey sky, as the one that there is over all the Inter F.C. fans today....a dark day when you have a half part of your friends that are Milan fans....sms, e-mails, calls on the cells, calls at home in the early morning, someone that calls from New York, London, other one from Mougins, others from Dubai...and also it was a dark night, when some millions of people are all around the city streets, singing, drinking and screaming...

Ciao Paolo,
On these lagoons, stormy skies create intense contrast and amazing emerald/turquoise water colors... which you got well here... it is quite smooth, maybe neat image, or as a result of the scan, but a pleasant image awaking nice memories(i been in Bora twice in 1975... was great in these days!)
Comunque, avete vinto lo Scudetto!

I only have been to Papeete one day, waiting to the connection flight to Eastern Island. In that occasion I have the tour of the island and I really have enjoyed it. Of course, I have not seen any beautiful beach as the one you are sharing with us. I like your photo for the superb colours and nice POV. Well done.

A nice image with the three layers applying the third rules.
The boat is centered but the island on the left is breaking the symmetry.

Hi Paolo, yes dark day you said it ;) I can almost figure out that you cried on your picture giving this blured neat to climax picture ;)
I guess this is kind of torture to see maldini showing the cup ... but the game wasn't very beautiful.

You must have a never-ending supply of shots from your round-the-world trip. I hope you never run out of them. It's very unusual to see such a grey cloud there.

queste foto nelle agenzie di viaggio non ce le fanno mai vedere, nelle isole tropicali c'è sempre il sole. Ma nonostante il nuvolone il mare è di un colore verde straordinario. La qualità della foto non è il massimo per via della scansione, ma la composizione è interessante con le tre fasce colorate orizzontali.

When I opened the thumbnail I knew already that I was dealing with something extraordinary. But although the set and the light and the clouds are so beautiful I am a bit disappointed about the lack of sharpness. Perhaps we must blame the scanning I am not sure, a digital picture would certainly be sharper in this case.
