Photographer’s Note
The royal abbey of Chaalis is located at Fountain-Chaalis, with l' orée of the forest d' Ermenonville, vis-a-vis the sea of sand, in the department of l' Oise, with approximately forty kilometers in the North-East of Paris. It was in l' old diocese of Senlis.
Hidden with the hollow of the forest d' Ermenonville, ruins of l' abbey of Chaalis are drawn up still proudly between the vault of l' Abbot, the rosery and the museum Jacquemart Andre.
RUINS Here drew up itself in XIIème century, the first church Gothic cistercian of style blazing. Aujourd' today, its ruins reveal us still easily the provision of the transept and the vaults and l' one can see even the table of l' there; furnace bridge. They preserved the mystical side of the place, which gives them an almost magic air in this elegant park of greenery. The VAULT DE L' ABBOT Built in the neighbourhoods of 1250, this vault of also Gothic style is worth a real turning. One will discover all there d' access the burial of Mrs Jacquemart-Andre, then and especially, of splendid frescos of l' school of Fontainebleau d' a remarkable beauty and d' a freshness still aujourd' today exceptional.

Salut Cedric,
Yves.

Cedric,
Nice POV with good composition. The chapel provides nice balance for the ruins. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF. The deep blue sky forms a nice backdrop for the shot.

Bonjour Cédric,
voila une vue de ces ruines qui ne m'est pas inconnue.
Avec une lumière printanière un plus dure que celle rencontrée en février lors de ma visite en ce lieu.
Jolie réalisation sous un ciel des plus propices.
Amicalement
LAurent
