Photographer’s Note

The town of Beauvais is likely to have one of the most beautiful hospital completely medieval of northern France . The maladrery Saint-Lazare, indeed, preserves in particular several buildings going up at the XII° and XIII° centuries: a Romance vault, the ancian "logis" of the monks, the barn , with the remainders of a sheep-fold, the house of the administrator, and the ancient wall still remaining on a part of its perimeter (http://gemob.free.fr/textes/sinlazar.htm source)
Unfortunately, the site is abandoned since many years. A program of rehabilitation was started (repair of the chapel) but the slowness of the decision-making concerning this place full of history involves its slow degradation.
PS: despite all my goodwill, I didn't succeed in removing this dazzling light. If you have any advice...

What a fantastic photo, the black and white is perfect for the theme and history of the lace. the high interior structure is very interesting and emphasised by the small humans inside

Salut Delphine.
Mon français nést pas trés bon....
I wonder if this roof wood structure was built after some kind of collapse of the original brick-stone main vault... In fact the columns seems overdimensioned for a strong-heavier roof.
About the photo himself:
A frontlite like this is allways difficult to shoot. I presume you could do it with the light on your back and well center the POV...
I give you 2 points....:)
p.s.
I enjoied th WS.
