Photographer’s Note
Happened upon this event by a marionette troupe extraordinaire called Royal de Luxe. One of two 'puppets' forming a pageant to celebrate the centenary of Jules Verne. Supposed to be a time travelling sultan with his mechanical 40 foot high elephant. You can see the operators at each leg and on the head. all hydraulics, and there's a tractor at the rear providing forwards and backwards movement. Amazing!
