Photographer’s Note
As my previous one, taken in the backland of the Cap Griz-Nez, from the car :-), a last winter landscape.
Sorry about not answering and commenting, I am having a bit of a conjunctivitis, so just posting ready materials these days...it should be fine soon.
°°°
Besides all those beautiful beaches and cliffs, the Côte d’Opale also has a few lovely villages.
Audresselles, just south of Cap gris nez, probably is my personal favorite.
A little further south you’ll find the village of Ambleteuse where Fort Mahon, build at the end of the
17th century by Sébastien Vauban, is definitely worth a visit as well.
The area more inland is a mixture of sloping hills and farmland, where the light is specially beautiful I find, probably also due to the proximity of the sea.
However, the Côte d’Opale offers more than just landscapes. The nature reserve, Le Platier d’Oye, north
of Calais is a very important refuge for breeding, migrating and wintering birds. This large stretch of
beach covers a variety of different biotopes like beaches, dunes, estuaries and wet grasslands. It is the
ideal place to find birds like egrets, waders, terns and occasionally a rare migrant.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that this area is also a great location for archeologists and geologists, as
fossils from the Jurassic period and different kind of minerals can be found on the shore at low tide.

hi Michèle,
love it! no idea why, just love it :) it's like a dream, like an illusion, like seeing ghosts and liking them. like cautiously walking around old wooden buildings and hearing wood floors groan and shift... spooky, yet irresistable.
completely surreal and absolutely fascinating, almost hypnotic, I think this would look great as a large poster in some minimalistic/futuristic interior. cannot get enough of looking at it, you've really captured my attention, and there's only one place for this shot - in my favourite's collection.
regards,
Kristine

Ciao Michèle,
I don't know which is your job, but I guess you have wrong job in life, try with canvas and oil colors... you are a painter! :)
Bravissima!

Are you sure it is just a field? It may be a painting? An abstract work? Or a long exposure shot while a pencil is drawing the painting? Every draw line, every simple move of pencil can be seen from it... A real nice try...
"a last winter landscape" carries hope of lively spring photos :)
I hope you'll be fine very soon,
Best wishes,
Burcu

Le paysage paraît avoir été peigné pour la pose. L'effet est exceptionnel et tout simplement une création artistique de premier choix. Agréable et originale publication.

Hi Michele
I like this impressionistic image. A simple composition that is dominated by Spring colours of green and yellow.

Beautiful Michele. You will have to tell us your technique :-) Did you use a fine paint-brush? I can perceive the delicate strokes on the grass and the fine traces on the tree... :-)
Very, very artistic...
Absolutely wonderful colors... The vivid green is fascinating but what I really like is the pale yellow color of the sky... dreamy...
Keep exploring; it is a pleasure to see this type of work...

Hello Michèle,
A great shot, very painting like, very surreal. Teasing the mods, right?
Love those dark strokes and the way the tree is cut. Fine work!
See you around Michèle.

Hi Michele,
Really great picture ! It's almost a phantastique painting.
The colours are super !
Did you achieve this effect by moving the camera only or was there also PP ?
Congratulations.
Hope you recover fast !
Greetings

What a fantastic photo! Like an image evolved over linen, canvas with accented brush strokes trying to imitate strong wind thrusts that play with tall grass so perfect as a hidding place for children. It seems most surreal, like a dream....no..more like a distant memory of a feeling playing in a windy countryside.
Most creative and brave post, a real inspiration!
Lovely evening,
jeri

It shouldn't work, but it does! The motion blur creates a nice abstract effect. My only problem with it is the too-central horizon line - I'd crop in from the bottom to position the horizon on the bottom-third line.

Do you know that i prefer to see these kinds of photos in their thumbnail version...?
Don't ask me why ?
Maybe, because I see them as a decorative element of some sort ?
I would imagine the whole wall covered with them creating some sort of pattern..?
There is so many of these 'moved' photos - everywhere..
My pure enthusiasm for something 'artzy' that has been repeated million times before - somehow had to diminished slightly over the years ( I think ?)
Smiling weekend for you, Michele.
Don't let them bite you.

Surreal and abstract, and yet very naturalistic. I get a sense of falling into soft grass. Wonderful!
