Photographer’s Note

I know TE is not the right place for family pictures but I make an exception. This small boy in this very military attitude is one my sons: Igor. Saturday we celebrated the wedding of the youngest sister of my wife and the whole family had rendez-vous in Lens, France. Kids were playing football while we wait for everybody to be prepared. My wife then change the clothes of Igor, from its jeans to this white smoking. He has a strong character and was angry because we didn't allow him to play foot in this suite. He then refuses to be pictured and turn back his face on the wall. I shot him and the result is nice but may be bad interpreted: we never punished him like that, I promise. He just adopted this position and stayed like that for half an our.

I've added a workshop that presents the other side of my small boy.

Poor little boy... I have to admit it's unusual... I remember when I was young, if I did something bad, the punishment was to stand facing the wall and pull my ears so I remember never to do it again! - I thought this is what it was...

But I can just picture the little boy's anger... over such a silly thing! :P

Did you try to take it from the side? It would be fun to see his little angry face...

Anyway, I like the difference in texture of the wall and his suit, and the way he stands with his hands together... somehow like an adult!

Sweet guy! He does look determined... You should have told him he looks very handsome in this suit, and in about ten years or so he would understand what you meant by that ... ;)

A change of style here, Rudy. But a jusitfied one. I like the elementary composition and the great contrast in textures. But that's at the graphical side of things. Your little boy really projects determination here! Fine job & nice note.

Very clear picture,its an art to get contrast with so simular colors,the textures make the picture.

Superbe, si jeune et déjà en pleine résistance active. Pierre Perret écrivait dans une de ses chanson," les parents sont un souci pour les enfants" Humour, l'image est belle et le sujet nous poses bien des questions. Amicalement/jr
