Photographer’s Note
After the beautifull last tow days, this one is a complete change since we are now lost in the fog. This was not very significant in yesterday's posting, but now you can see how it look. At the end of the fore dack, a Russian cadet is acting as a look-out, since visual surveillance is an important back up to radar observations. He is alone, looking in the fog and most probably seeing nothing, for an hour... Next to him, the fore bell, used for signalling to the bridge.
A side aspect of this picture is to give you an idea of the dimension of the ship : remember she is 117 meters long...

Bonsoir Emmanuel - you've captured a lovely scene with a mood, possibly the mood of the sailor... perfect PP too, regards, Daniel

Hi Emmanuel,
This image is indeed in contrast to the bright sunny days displayed in previous ones.It was a good idea to show it as it lets us know that your pastime isn't always fun and games and can sometimes be dull, maybe dangerous and quite obviously hard work.TFS and I'll keep up with your voyage.
Regards, David

Bonjour Emmanuel
The effect of the fog is what makes the picture for me..it's cold & lonely & the same can be seen on the sailor as he keeps vigil Excellent idea to frame with the sail. This is a very original & interesting compostion & very appealing

Angshu
