Photographer's Note
The Eiffel Tower, illuminated at night, is a honeypot for people in general and photographers in particular. There were plenty of both while I was shooting: what surprised me a little was how few fellow snappers were using tripods: I hope they've got steadier hands than I have! I was conscious of the fact that the Eiffel Tower is probably one of the most photographed buildings in the world, and wanted somehow to avoid the cliches and find a new angle. Impossible of course: no more unique images could be taken of this structure. But getting right underneath it and filling the frame with metalwork felt like the way to go... I won't insult your intelligence by posting information about this most famous landmark!

Hi Will
A new vision of Paris well known architecture! A good color contrast between the illuminated orange steel and the dark blue sky.
Have a nice WE

Hello Will,
I don't know how unique this image is but for me it's certainly not a cliché. It's a wonderful see-through with the lower part of the tower framing one of the pillars.
The red brown and blue colour contrast makes this picture very attractive.
Congratulations!
Best regards, Paul

Hello Will,
This one is a very original POV for this French Needle in steel. I like a lot the blue/orange combo. It is an eye catcher in the main gallery.

Hi Will
An ambitious and difficult shot, but one that's worked well The honey-comb graphism is really beautiful, I like the golden tones and of course they contrast fantastically with the cobalt sky. I detect some noise but this could be my new monitor playing tricks on me.
Have a good day

Hi Will
well written note.
I agree, when i was there, people were snapping photo's away in the dark with small pocket cameras and i can't help but wonder how those turn out. You most certainly need a tripod here.
and you're also right in that its hard to produce a new unique compo of the Tower, but i fully appreciate you working hard here to get it.
Even in this abstract view, its undenyable thats this the Eiffel Tower!
thanks for this viewpoint
cheers
craig
