Photographer’s Note

Tuesday morning on the road between Villiers-le-Bacle and Gif-sur-Yvette, as the sun rises.
A new day is coming on a very wet land due to the enormous quantity of water that pourred down on sunday evening in a few hours (90mm in 4 hours). The water went up to 2 metres in Villiers-le-Bacle and 1 metre in Gif-sur-Yvette.

Some 50 houses were completly flooded and people had to be moved for the night.

It is hard to believe that nature could have been so violent some hours before when you see such a peaceful landscape...

Hope you will enjoy ! but I can tell you some people did not...
