The calm one before the storm !!!, a photo from Ile-de-France, North

Photographer's Note

The meteorologists announce to us in the night of Saturday to Sunday of the tempestuous winds on the Ile de France, I hope that it is mistaken !!! In all the cases during my small walk of today in the Hameau de la Reine and in particular close to the farm to Marie-Antoinette, all was calm in the farmyard as this splendid peacock shows it. I hope that the trees of the park of the Versailles castle will not suffer from it once more…

C'est un oiseau qui abonde autour de chez moi, mais pas facile de les approcher à l'état sauvage! ;D
Celui ci est superbement cadré et les details, couleurs et la texture de son plumage sont bien rendus.

Bonjour Jean-Charles,
Elle m'inquiète cette tempête annoncée, dont je redoute qu'elle mette à mal, entre autres, mon Poitou et mon humble toit qui s'y trouve, déjà éprouvé en 1999. Ce paon a dû détecter quelque chose d'inquiétant pour ne pas être plus orgueilleux. J'aime bien les ws aussi, et les jeux de carpes. Bravo.

Excellent cadrage qui montre toute la majesté fière de ce bel oiseau. J'aime aussi cette barrière très graphique et la perspective ouvrete vers la droite sur un arrière-plan légèrement flouté.

It's nice to see this elegant bird in simple farm surroundings. I've never seen a peacock perching before -- perhaps, as Joel wonders, he senses the changing weather. I hope that your concerns are unfounded. Anyway, the bird posed beautifully and your shot did him justice -- very attractive and well framed.

Maybe this beautiful creature really feels that this is a calm before the storm, as it folded its train. However that may be, the peacock looks great in your picture. It is captured perfectly, all details of its plumage are seen quite well. Excellent job!

Bonjour Jean-Charles,

La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs du paon. Il est bien placé dans le cadrage. le flou de l'arrière-plan met l'oiseau en évidence. La luminosité a un bel effet sur les couleurs de l'image. bon weekend.

Intéressant Bokeh, mise au point sélective bien effectuée.
Pour les carpes un filtre pola était nécessaire.

Bonjour Jean-Charles,
Je vois que le paon a bien pris la bonne posture pour la photo. Il est perché et ainsi fait étalage de son plumage si particulier. Il a juste tourné la tête pour montrer son meilleur profil. Les photos en WS sont également superbes.

Hello,

Ton captage met parfaitement en valeur ce paon, quelle plumage cette longue queue avec les yeux bleu dans ce vert, il est très fier et observe perché sur la barrière, merveilleuse iamge.

This is a fine portrait of this majestic peacock.
The vertical format is perfect here allowing us to see the full bird with closeup detail. The sharp focus on the bird is contrasted by the blurred background. The lighting and colors are great as well.

Olá Jean Charles, this is a gorgeous peacock. Splendid portrait, so elegant with rich colors and feather details. Nice diagonal for its marvellous long tail and good bokeh. For sure the more beutiful animal of the presented 3, but I like your carp shot very much too.
It seems they weren't wrong about the storm and all europe suffered. Ana and I were caught while returning home on our motorbike and it was a real adventure trying to not be blown off the road by the incredible strong wind and rain. We had to stop several times and in the end we had to remove a tree of the road so we could access our home. Now it's better but still very cloudy.

Fabulous color and detail in this fastidious peacock, it look like he's sitting on the gate to avoid soiling his tail feathers. The cap and duck photos are also well captured, I've never seen a duck with his eyes closed.
