Photographer's Note

Hello you all,

this photo was carried out the same day as the two preceding ones, and it presented to me minor problems on the level of the composition.
I have do many tests of framing, to see whether the photograph were better, with or without the first standard lamp, of left, in the field, but without, the image, seemed less natural to me, then I decided to leave it.
What do you think about?

un D300... une vue de Notre-Dame et une superbe perspective... il ne m'en faut pas plus pour apprécier ce genre de prise. Bravo, une très belle ambiance.

Hi Armandino,

in my opinion, the bright lamp on the left is quite OK. If you remove it (and the wall) the photo will lose its balance of composition. So, POV-wise, the left part of the photo seems necessary.
In general - very good colour balance, good sharpness and clarity of the image. Good lighting.

Bonjour Armandino,
Une vue splendide, presque atemporelle où les nuages semblent filer à toute allure comme pour remonter le temps. Notre-Dame est majestueuse dans ce ciel obscur. Mais si les lumières mettent en valeur le pavé mouillé ainsi que les péniches, la cathédrale paraît quelque peu terne. La photo serait en noir et blanc qu'on pourrait se croire dans "la grande traversée" avec Gabin et Bourvil. J'aimerais en tout cas pouvoir entrer dans ta photo pour me balader sur ces quais humides et tranquilles. J'adore l'atmosphère particulière qui s'en dégage.

Une belle utilisation de la pose longue et du GA pour créer une ambiance très sympa. Les pavés mouillés sont un plus et je pense que tu as bien fait de garder le premier lampadaire.

It's an amazingly beautiful and very impressive photograph!
The sky, the lamplights and the trees on the left side are all main role players just as the Notre Dame Cathedral, of course, always beautiful!

Bonjour,

J'aime beaucoup l'ambiance de cette photo; on se croirait dans un polar avec les tons bruns et gris et le rendu brillant des pavés après la pluie.
Pour le lampadaire, effectivement il est un peu fort, mais il ne gene pas vraiment la lecture de l'image. Peut etre en reculant un peu pour le cacher ne serait ce que partiellement par le tronc, ça aurait pu donner aussi quelque chose.

Moi, elle me plait bien comme ça! On dirait la couverture d'un "polar" qui se passerait à Paris. je suis surpris par les petites touches de couleur des lampes qu quai opposé.
Bon, je ne traine pas, les assassins pourraient revenir sur le lieu de leurs crimes!

Hallo Dinao Im really enjoying your gallery,by experience I know the Notre Daem is a pretty hard place to photographe.
The front is far too crowded,and this is one of the few good spots,youve created a very fine Paris evening mood with your low position on the old street.
