Photographer’s Note
From the balcony of Notre Dame's bell tower, one can see magnificent view of Paris cityscape accompanied by gargoyles and chimeras
Technical part:
This is just a regular pic (not HDR) but taken using IR dedicated Nikon D50, thus the weird coloring.
The problem when taking this picture was the fact that the balcony is very narrow and always packed with tourist. To make it worse, there was hailing right after I took this one.

hi Charles, my congratulation for this shot. Same theme was on TE but your shot is so dinamic and mystic.

HDR efficace même si je trouve que la gargouille est trop dans l'ombre... Je t'ai fait un ws basique, j'espère qu'il te plaira...
Félicitations et bienvenue...

Hi Charles and first welcome on TE!
It is a very good shot, the pov is perfect on the "gargouille", we can see Eiffel tower and Paris in a good background. Colors are terrific and really seem's to an HRD traitment.
Very well done, i like it lot!

Olivier

Hi Charles,
A photo similar appeared on this month's National Geographic (Türkiye) with a horizantal frame. But I sincerely think that yours is so much better. I loved the combination of clouds with the gloomy weather and the gargoyle's look at the obscur Paris.

Although all the difficulties mentionned, you make it very well. You ve got a beautiful sky. I believe that the artist who built the statue were so astonished by the view over the city, they were so enthousiastic that they were very sad to go down. This chimera somehow, is watching the city, on behalf of them and for ever...Wonderful. Geraldine
PS / I added your opict to the theme that is called gargoyle, in order you can discover related pictures. Geraldine

Hi Charles.
Impressive shot. The POV is incredible with this gargoyle close-up,and the colours, even a little dark, are great too, they are the colours from a stormy day,so they can be a bit dark.Really this is a fascinating picture, congratulations.

Sonsoles.

not HDR so 'highlight and shadows' or something like that to explain the halo
a dramatic version of a classic, nice
