Photographer’s Note
I arrived to France in October thanks to Socrates/Erasmus exchange program to do 3rd year of my medicine studies in Rennes 1 University. When I was coming back to Poland for Christmas – I had few hours of free time in Paris. I’ve already visited the city twice and my time was limited so I just took a walk. Simply passing from railway station in direction to Seine I saw this man lying on the ground. The first thing I did was I checked whether he was breathing or not ?. But he was only sleeping calmly on a grid through which hot air was going out.
In this photo I like the pigeons that are near the man and the Eiffel Tower which is in the back. I have seen many homeless people before in the suburbs of Paris but never in the center of the town. It made me fell strange.
What do you think of this photo's composition? I didn't want to disturb this poor man, so I only took two photos. This and another one, from a different angle. The man is centered but there is no Eiffel Tower. You can find it in workshop.
