I took this photo near the Canal St. Martin. I thought it was really weird how the windows were placed. It didn't seem to have any logic to it. it is a very beautiful texture and - like you say - very weird windows on it...I have only seen this in some old Greek houses converted into Ottoman style (by Ottomans) very badly...
but this one is beautiful..concrete and old stone look very good together..

I like the way the colour fades upwards too.

I really like the degraded colors, magenta bleeding into orange then yellow. Warm colors are great. The square windows make a manmade contrast, like the staircase in the backdrop in the movie The Truman show.
