Photographer's Note

Two years ago- Passage Jouffroy

Exactly two years and a day ago, on July 20 I was in Paris visiting passages and galleries, before I made a list with the group that begins at the Galleries Vivienne and ends at Montmartre Boulevard
I note down not address at all, only the names and trust people to help me, it was a good idea, I began with the one I knew Vivienne, near the Palais Royal, going out, show my list to a porter or police
What an idea he said, call another person and both explained how to arrive at the first two galleries or passages and add another one that was just a few meters away
When I finished (a hot Summer day) I enter a small shop and asked for the next ones at the only person inside, she was a kind woman that recommended me to have some lunch at a restaurant in the corner, rest and return, she offered to go with me walking, because I wanted to take a taxi and she said it was near and also added more galleries at my list

So at the early evening I arrived at Jouffroy, a place plenty of interesting objects as old canes, books, postcards, stamps, paper specialists, a true paradise for a hot day
What I like about these places was to see not tourist and tours but people watching, searching, interested in the special items on sale like this relaxed man quite adsorbed in an art book from the very good Paul Vulin bookshop
