In this time, lots of people are interested in it, watching, discussing about players, games
They(mostly children) learn about far away countries, not only their flags but the geographical location and the people who live there
What is moving is that for once, gender, age, race, social standing, nationality, political affiliation are forgotten to support the team s country
I took it at the Branly Museum in Paris, I was going to the shop when suddenly a door opened and children began to emerge in an orderly line, I quickly stepped aside and have time to take only this picture
Having a look at it, I believe they represent the best of the World Cup´s spirit (mix of races, colors) to begin with
Special thanks to
Jason- United States
Tiffany- United States
That left comments about the Argentina team and the Cup, showing the spirit of TE community

Hello Mary, I do not see Italians on your list, but I do not see even more in the World Cup, we are already back home doing a bad figure ... ehehe .... really a nice idea this picture, a metaphor of how football that photography can unite races and nations in a big fest.I played 10 euro at the beginning of the world cup on the victory of Argentina, hopefully good ... ehehe ...Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

I really love the sentiment behind your photo and it's true, the world cup really does bring out the best in people and how we engage with other. The children here are a great way to represent this, they don't see different colors, religions our ways to think, they just see new friends. Great idea for your post and accompanying note

World Cup or not, it's always nice to see people of all kinds and colours come together in a friendly way. I love these groups of school kids on excursions, walking in orderly lines, often holding hands in pairs. We can see such groups in every country, and in some places the children seem to represent every culture in the world, like here, or in England and Germany and also in Sweden. Sadly, in a few years they will begin to realize the differences between them and some will unfortunately grow up to become racists. But for the time being this is a very charming and beautiful picture.

Hello Maria, Nice view of this so multicultural group of school children. I saw similar group is Portugal. How wonderful it would be if they were so tolerant in the adult life. But maybe it will happen? there are places when it is possible, like during World Cup, .. or on TrekEarth :).
Warm regrads Malgo

Well, you must have known this would have immediately caught my attention for the title and location! :)) I must admit, my first thought when reading the title and seeing the picture was "These kids are far too young to be players in the World Cup...is there a child's league I'm unaware of??" lol I think my favorite aspect about football matches are that each player is led onto the pitch with a young representative, just like one of these children.
A wonderful image which encapsulates the spirit of the tournament, and even the childlike enthusiasm for friendship without boundaries or prejudice. The two boys walking hand in hand leading the group out of the building is the embodiment of the sentiment. Thanks for the mention in the notes, and I'm happy to see a few fellow Americans in there as well. :) Best wishes to all remaining countries and players. Game on!
All the best mon ami d'Argetine,

That is a nice observation, but then children represent so many things, not just innocence.
Nice adorable click.

Interesting youth lineup celebrating our diversities and togetherness. Hopefully they will all have many future adventures and share life.

I love this shot for its glowing colors rendition and contrast, an excellent social observational symbolic that says it all with your description and meaningful fitting the current world event. You have used the opportunity to grab the adorable colour blind innocents and moment beautifully and I simply love the feel of peacefulness and stunning contrast it conveys. A true winner in my eyes and exceptionally good with this simple thoughtful image. My congrats

Hola Maria querida,
a lovely scene, the line of children reaches the foreground in a fine diagonal, which is decisive and not boring as individual characters and relationships occupy our attention and interest. The children and their teachers make the elegant but rigid setting so lively.
I like how you associated this scene with the international feast that is the world cup, where we all wish the best for our national teams but also have favourite teams and players from other countries as well. Congratulations and thank you!
Taking a look at the current and probable adversaries of our teams, I think you'll certainly play in the final while our best prospect is to reach the stage of 8 tonight. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely Sunday,

Excellent shot and a perfect accompaniment to the great note. I liked the spontaneity of the picture and its perfect framing in the limited time that you had to take the picture. Excellent presentation to celebrate the great event.
Thanks for sharing and have a great new week ahead.

Warm regards Les.

This World Cup 2014 , the countries from the South America perform so well, specially some small countries in Central America, like Colombia and Costa Rica. I feel the fever you guy have, pretty exciting!

danos (87505) 2014-07-01 4:15
nice the snapshot with all these small school boys and girl as coming out of the Museum. The mix of colours of all these really metaphorically can say that represent the best of the World Cup´s spirit.
PS Accoding to your note about the Ulmer Münster, the seating people in plastic chairs, just admiring the Cathedral, resting on them.

tu foto me gusta mucho!!!

Maria, nice picture, that group of children are visiting a museum in Paris with their teachers
