When I joined TE, I was more fascinated towards landscapes, nature and the sorroundings. The critics /cooments/ advices/ shocks etc etc convinced me that its important to have life in shot.
I beleive that what I learnt still holds good.
My entire attentions has shifted to the book-reading and still people will say
.....what a beautiful contrast,
......like the sky and the color,
.......like the E-towr from such a distance
.........like water and the small reflections,
...........like the boats,
..............the list is endless, but I firmly believe, if given chance, 97 out of 100 will like to go closer to her and forget the trip to Paris.
If I am wrong, must let me know.
jealous of you !!

Hello Jean Claude,
Almost any photo of the Eiffel Tower would be placed in the postcard category, but this contains much more than the average postcard. Especially the young woman on the bench gives the picture a charming human touch. She also helps to give the composition very good depth through the street and the river that connects her with the tower. The well saturated colours and the nice clouds give the photo a very pleasant summer atmosphere.

Hi Jean Claude
interesting and thought provoking critique by Rajeev.
now i'm not sure what to say! haha
But i do agree that having the lady in the shot does increase the overall quality and interest level, it adds that all important aspect of being able to relate to the photo as a viewer.
you've done very well with that.
On a personal note, the contrast levels may be a little too high for my liking, but again, thats purely a personal like or dislike and its so easily changed.
the compo, the lady, the light, the colors, all stand out as winners here. well done

I don't think I have ever viewed the Eiffel Tower via the Seine but the later does make a very effective lead to the former.
The inclusion of the young lady does add a lovely human touch and we immediately invent our own scenario about what could be more interesting than this iconic scene.
My warm regards,

Ciao Jean Claude

Hello Jean Claude
A very fine composition, in which the famous symbol is there to remind us where your girl is sitting, but in this case it must take the back seat to the young woman in the corner and the pleasing perspective of the composition. Great sky and very good viewpoint with great depth in the picture. Nice work to produce this delightful Summer shot that is so much more than just a postcard.

Ciao Jean Claude
Ciao e buona giornata

Hi Jean Claude,
Fantastic view looking down the Seine towards the Eiffel Tower. Your POV gives great depth to the shot. Nice colour and lighting and the young lady on the seat reading adds a human interest.

You have made used of the space efficiently to capitalise on the beauty of this famous icon. The perspective and viewpoint ensure the eyes is focus in firmly and aided by the array of colors and the lady is just the natural and strong included. Tremendous depth and dof achieved blessed by fine weather with such good colors making this is so pleasant to view. Awesome shot as always, Congrats. TFS
