Paris, Pigeons and the Kilometre Zero, a photo from Ile-de-France, North

Photographer's Note

This picture of Notre Dame Cathedral is the closest one among my shots from that bus tour from Eastern to Western Europe to its theme. The tourist agency, which organized it, titled it as "Paris, Love and Pigeons". But because my wife could not participate over her business, for me the tour had the contracted name “Paris and Pigeons”.

There, in the Parvis Notre-Dame - place Jean-Paul-II, there are also stones indicating the Kilometre Zero of the French highways.

at much closer inspection, I can see people way up at the very top! I wonder what the view is like up there!?
You have a perfect sky backdrop with the white and blue clouds/sky, its a nice complimentary color and texture.
of course the architecture is beautiful.
too bad your wife wasn't there.

C'est un très bel angle pour mettre en valeur cette majestueuse cathédrale. Le pigeon en vol, à droite, est capturé au bon moment, les ailes parfaitement déployéesm juste avant de sortir de la composition. Cela ajoute à l'attrait de la photo.

Poor guy, to go for such a trip and then to have kilometr zero instead of Love in Paris!! Not so much pigeons too. Beautiful shot with excellent sharpness. we can spot people on the tower. marvelous composition and quite romantic anyway.

Hi Sergiy,
I am sorry that your wife could not see Paris this time. I remember I visited Paris first time on my own as well. I knew I have to take my future wife there and I managed to do it many years later.
It is indeed a place for romantic walks. However the advantage was that you had more time to focus on taking photos :) This is a beautiful presentation of the cathedral. I took simila photos but I did not have such a great weather over there.

PARIS - My very first overseas trip - even if it was just across the English Channel - I stayed not far from this Magnificent Cathedral & on limited money I had so much fun... I love this photo & the perfect capture of a pigeon on the right side.

надеюсь, вы там тоже потоптались? )) Я был здесь в 1999. Еще не было цифровиков, зато не так был пресыщен поездками и все по детски наивно воспринимал. Помпезная архитектура, чего уж там. Отличное фото!

В Скандинавию летом - это хорошо, а вот автобусный тур... там за неделю все не обойдешь, а тут по 3 часа на город если выделят. Или я слишком заелся )))
