The Obvious, a photo from Ile-de-France, North

Photographer's Note

I took the easy way out on this photo and gave in to cliché!? It goes without saying that the Eiffel Tower is one of the most photographed and iconic monuments in the world. I realize this is such an overdone picture, nothing new presented on my part…but if you’ve ever visited Paris, doesn’t it almost feel obligatory to have this traditional shot in your collection?

Now with that being said, I never get tired of seeing images of this magnificent structure and always look forward to catching it from a new and different vantage point. I have to admit, I’ve taken this same picture numerous times on different occasions…it just doesn’t seem to get old for me.

Even seen thousands and thousands times , this is a pleasure to see such a view of the Eiffel Tower , because your capture at the blue hour is perfect . The nice detail here , is the beautiful cloudy sky .

Everyone as photographer want these big tower photographing.
I like the yellow color of the tower against blue sky.
This is an unique image, what a lovely moment image.
Sharpness and clarity are perfect.

Il tuo scatto, ripreso nell'ora blu, è notevole per la contrapposizione tra la luce dorata della torre e il colore della notte incombente.
Il taglio verticale, ovviamente, era d'obbligo.

Taking pictures of a landmark is quite a challenging task as it's being photographed million of times.. I like the lights here and the evening sky.. just perfect, and the frame is very nicely picked.

A cliche or not, this is an outstanding monument and deserve every photo and the praise, Jason.

Long, long time ago, when I was young, I learn
that yellow with blue (or red with green) are
strikingly for the eyes for the eyes and yes
this picture is it also. Only for this reason
is the picture an eye catcher. The light
managament and the composition are (also) great.

As obvious as it may be for a scene, that cannot take away from the clarity, colour, symettry and light that you captured here, and that is unique to your shots.
This is done perfectly, and creates a beautiful postcard image. Makes me want to go and see this for myself. Someday I'll be visiting this place, and hope I can do my capture half as good as this. Nicely done.
