The fruit of chance #2, a photo from Ile-de-France, North

Photographer's Note

Sometimes, the destiny of a photo depends on a few things. This one owes its existence to a simple problem with the underground. In transit between two railway stations, I had to go back to the surface, walking towards Montparnasse passing by streets and places according to inspiration.

View of the Ile de la Cité from the Pont des Arts. Completely pedestrian, it is one of those bridges whose railings are invaded by padlock attached by lovers. Once again, this is the light that attracted me.

Bonjour Delphine,

The problem with the underground has been to our advantage, for it gave you the opportunity to take this shot, to share with us.
I love the almost sepia effect that has been achieved by the evening light; it sets a rather moody tone.
The lamp post is strongly positioned and totally dominates the scene, as if it is watching over the gradually sleeping city, as the light fades.
A lovely shaot and one which I have enjoyed sharing.

Bonjour Delphine,
Une très belle vue de la Seine au coucher du soleil avec un cadrage intéressant et un contre-jour audacieux qui laisse sa place au spectacle lumineux. La lumière projetée sur les reflets de l'eau en mouvement crée un joli effet esthétique. J'aime aussi ce ciel moutonné qui envahit le cadre de l'image et met grandement en valeur le paysage.

questa tua foto mi piace perchè pur essendo un controluce scarso di dettagli, ha un bella composizione per la presenza del lampione ed un'ottima gestione delle luci che evidenziano la sagoma di una città misteriosa contornata da un cielo bellissimo.

Hello Delphine. The photo is fascinating in a strange way. Yes, it is the light and good handling thereof. The city's skyline and the lantern unfold well before the cloudy sky. The composition is well balanced. I like the aesthetic photo very well.

Cette lumière et cet effet de contre jour est bien rendu, la composition est équilibrée avec ce lampadaire et les silhouettes des immeubles, jolis tons dorés pour les reflets sur l'eau.

love the tiny hint of light that strikes the city buildings in the bg.
and its a perfect composition at the 1/3 level with the light post.
