Photographer's Note

After a long awaited moment for people not pass through my frame, I was ready for the shot.....and then this woman walked in, set up her belongings and planned to stay a while. Oh well, can't win 'em all!?

The more I've analyzed this photo however, I'm actually glad she did decide on this spot...I feel that it adds the obvious human element to the scene and was a reminder for me that there is real life happening beyond the scenic storefronts as she was attempting to solicit money for her needs.

Good composition, nice background the elderly woman and a Shop. Exposure is good, but the image resolution is not good.

Old Jewish store for religious and traditional metrials, articles and books.
The woman sitting there add a vivid tone to the dark old street, waiting for the rain... holding an umbrela...

Excellent street capture and great sense of atmosphere. An image can say so many things and this is always interesting to see persons doing things as depicted. I like the woman sitting in fron of her small book shop not concerned about your photographing activity. I think you were quite brave here. Great candid, that's quite a character you've caught and a nice piece of street photo. Have a nice day.

A wonderful daily life scene you`ve captured here, in hte heart of the French capital. The woman`s clothes seems to match the scene perfectly. The open door to the small library is another great feature here. Very well taken and beautifully presented picture:) TFS. Have a nice week.

Hello Jason,

an interesting street scene. THe complementary colors, the textures of the granite sidewalk. The sitted character really brings life to this composition while the slight titlt of the street adds dynamics.

Hi Jason,
I fully agree, the woman does add a lot to the scene, and how cool that her clothes match the colour scheme of the shop. This is a very cool daily life scene. Great framing too, and the light is perfect!
