Paris has the Point des Arts at a meeting point for people in love, friends, and tourist
A charming and romantic place where locks are placed to symbolize eternal love, the key is then thrown at the Sena River

With the in general golden locks at the background it is also the place most recent couples choose for a photo, not only French but from all over the world couples made the same during their honeymoon
So at all hours in the day you can see them in different and very romantic positions

The couple of the photo
This couple was a bit weird being the girl so well dressed in a loving attitude (but without ring) while he was with jeans and basquets, not romantic at all (but with ring)

Hello Maria,

You are exceedingly observant: ring, no ring; a swooning girl well dressed, a scowling young man ill-dressed... (He doesn't deserve her!) The subdued light is well managed, with not stark shadows. The brilliant yellow dress shows up a powerful highlight. As for the myriad padlocks on the fence, I encountered this new tradition in St. Petersburg during the summer of 2010. The polished brass locks, interspersed with a few brilliant colored locks create an effective backdrop.

Nice capture of a 'private' tender expressive moment as both looks at ease together and emotive image for all the right reasons although the guy looks rather anxious in his out-of-place-casual dress! I like the compo and framing with all the emphasis on the body contact and the placement of the couple is crucial to the balance of the shot which also nicely leads into the message, the numerous love padlocks inventively affixed to the railings. The tone helps in setting the mood and the gal's stinging yellow makes the senses be overloaded without the ring! and brightens the environment and stands out as expected. I like her pose and the parallel lines. This is good candid shot and a bit of observation here. - well spotted. Congrats :))

Bonjour Maria,
Voilà un beau portrait que tu aurais pu poster le jour de la Saint-Valentin. Habituellement, on ne voit que les cadenas sur ce pont, et là, tu as eu la bonne idée d'y faire figurer ce couple d'amoureux. Si la jeune femme semble pleine de tendresse, l'attitude de son compagnon paraît plutôt froide et indifférente. La photo aurait pu être plus romantique si Monsieur avait été un peu plus motivé ! Beau liseré jaune du cadre qui sied bien à la robe de la jeune femme.

Este magnifico retrato de esta pareja es un fiel exponente del amor y el fondo no podia ser mejor que la baranda del puente llena de candados del amor.
La chica tiene un gran estilo, mejor dicho ambos y son muy majetes... un retrato impecable, con gran nitidez y atractivo colorido.

P/D. Dificilmente podre enseñar fotos de Lanzarote, pues no visite esta isla, solo estube en Tenerife y La Gomera, la proxima vez que vaya a Canarias seguro que elegiré Lanzarote y Gran Canaria.

Hola Maria,
you've composed this picture superbly, with excellent perspective, framing and backdrop. Sharpness and lighting are marvellous. The yellow dress dominates the frame, then comes the pose and expression of the girl, then the wall of love locks, all very explicit. Then, the posture and expression of the man overturns everything and makes the picture very intriguing. Instead of a romantic scene it becomes a fascinating human study -or else this is catalogue shooting:) Your observation, readiness and efficiency are remarkable. Congratulations and thank you!

one more nice snapshot from the bridge with te padlocks this time with the young pair to pose escpecially the woman so charmy in front of your lens.

Magnificent image of the couple at the bridge of lovers locks.Your observation about the ring seems to be apparent.We can only assume that the young girl may have forgotten to wear hers.Great note about this lovers point.It is well composed and nicely balanced. Very well done, TFS.

Hello Maria,

Beautiful photo of the couple, very romantic location. They the symbol were real and not just a meaning, would there be this many locks here and key tosses into the river? With how many divorces we have in our society. What if you can't find the key to unlock it. You will be together forever? :) At least people can dream right?
