The setting for the Biennale des Antiquaires is the magnificent Grand Palais in Paris, originally built as an exhibition space

Re-opening the famed Salon d’Honneur wing after years of renovation enables an unprecedented 150 exhibitors to show their works, including first-time exhibitors.

The staircase is considered a masterpiece of Art Nouveau

Note: How stupid I can be
After 3 hours of visiting and admiring pictures, antiques and (my preferred) Africa (masks), China (Buddha statues),objects from Asia (Cambodia) I was so exhausted that face at the big stairs I decided to return another day which I had not the time to do
Looking at the photos now I saw a very big arrow saying LIFTS, which at the time I did n noticed

its so much fun to see new and unique photo's from cities like Paris.
what a beautiful subject.
i love the pale green-apple color, especially when combined with the whites.
great height and depth in the scene, its just too bad you couldnt get the entire white arch along the top - but thats nit-picking.

Wonderful composition of those stairs. The eye wanders endlessly along the stairs up and up to the gorgeous arch and dome. The pale green and yellow colors are very attractive to.
And your lift sign dosn't bother me at all. I had to look quite some time before I found it and without your remark I most certainly would never have noticed it.

A great subject. The sweeping staircase is complimented by the high arches. The people descending the staircase are nicely positioned in the composition, and each character provides an extra element of interest. Well done.

Ola Maria,
nice the view of the staircase of the Grand Palais in Paris,with the visitors to descending them creating a beautiful effect.Sometimes if we were exhausted some times we don't see things that are so close to our eyes,the lifts on the right.

Bonjour Maria,
Tu as vraiment bien joué avec la dynamique des courbes et de l'espace, la géométrie des balustrades et des marches d'escalier. Le grand angle amplifie les dimensions du lieu. L'unité des couleurs est superbe. Impressionnant, quand on compare la hauteur de cet escalier avec la taille des personnes. Bravo pour cette réalisation soignée.

Hola Maria,
a wonderful composition that has made excellent and creative use of perspective and of the lovely architectural patterns and their colours. The sense of depth is marvellous and inviting, there's great sharpness and clarity and the light is diffused in the space in a magnificent, natural and atmospheric way. I love the enhancement of perspective by the descending people who add great interest both as groups and as individual presences too. A beautiful picture, congratulations and thank you! I wish you to return the Grand Palais for another exhibition soon.

beautiful design of the staircase very well presented here. People seem to still discuss what they have seen, and what they liked most or disliked.
The large museums can be tiring indeed.

An interior shot with immense details but ambient is extremely special here and the natural tones have further enhanced the uniqueness and style of the architecture. The pov has greatly accentuated the depth, space and height with good scale to greatest effect. This has good dof with sharp details, great natural colors, pin sharp throughout, an image to be proud off. Fine works, Congrats.
