He was there playing alone when I came across this little square that afternoon. I just saw a lady went by him without stopping, without ever paying attention to him. But the soloist kept on playing. When I finally arrived there, there was no one else around him, and I was his only audience as if he were playing his violin just for me. He must be a student of Music, busking to fill his pocket a little. On the other hand, I know that this neighbourhood is home to a world-class pianist whose name I must not mention here. I kept running into him over and over again around this little square. This square attracts many musicians. Somehow the ambience is right for them. This soloist played very well, so I listened to him well.

I love the composition and of course the colors - you are on an orange and blue roll here! Perfect placement of the soloist, grand vista down the arcade to the lone man in black. It's also nice to see the weathering of the very old stones...This little square is famous...why not name it? Lovely memories...

nice the view of the soloist of this arcade of the city, as playing his violin and waiting his customers to drop their coins. The light is harsh but is managed well as we can see the interior of the arcade.

Nice perspective view with the man in fg playing violin and a man in far side. Well composed shot with nice lightening. It think the compression has smoothed out the image but anyway, its a great shot. have a nice holiday,

Hi Nobu, Super photo of this scene which we have in all corners of city's, A poem for your busker,,I descend into an alphabet maze
of Union Square Station
there entranced by ethereal sound
teasing me in, on, around—
a subway pied piper—to you,
you and your steel music partner
in a protean pas de deux at once
instruments of another and I, for
a perfected instant, fall in tune.
Tfs, Nobu, have a good Sunday, Cheers Iain.

Ciao dear Nobu,
beautiful image, dear friend, pleasantly melancholy, but above all interestingly composed. It could be a good subject to get a nice oil painting. I really like this scene, well described in your notes, but especially I like the good depth that you've got with the arches of the arcade. Excellent work, congratulations!
Ciao, have a nice week!

Mon cher Nobu-San
Although I am not a musician, I can imagine that this place would have very good acoustics, which might attract some musicians to it. What a beautiful place he has chosen, the magnificent cloisters, to play his music. The perspective and plays of light and shade are really very beautiful. There is that omnipresent "Nobu-light", good sharpness and - an unsuaul square frame from you which suits the subject well. Congratulations.
Have a beautiful day

Hello dear Nob-san
I think I know this place, though I maybe wrong. This has a good resemblance to the corridors & arcades of Place des Vosges, which I visited during my last trip to Paris! It was an enchanting place. Pls correct me if I'm wrong though!
The solo pianist is the chief attraction of this picture...you've framed him well off centre beside the perspective of the corridor. Light contrast has been well handled. A fine picture indeed!
Best Regards Nobu-san & have a nice week ahead

But did you tip him! Recently, a well known violinists, it might have bee Gill Shahan, took his violin out in a subway station and began playing world class classical music. Virtually no one stopped to tip him, no one recognized the virtuoso Israeli violinist, no one recognized the quality of the performance. He could not have made a living that way. I love this photo, Nobu.

this is good image, I like the composition with the violin player inside the interesting hall with arches, you captured a good moment with almost nobody in there except the musician, well seen,

Hello dear friend Nobu,
First of all congratulations to this beautiful image and your wonderful note. I admire these musicians. Nothing bothers them. They can only see and hear the music. This violinist has chosen a perfect place to play. I like the ambiance here with the array of arches giving a lot of depth .I like the lighting which is not too bright and creating that nice mood for the musicians. The play of light and shade is superb with beautiful colors.
With warm regards,
