Photographer’s Note
The origins of the Louvre date to 1200 when Philippe August began construction of a fortress on the banks of the Seine and it first became the official royal residence under Charles V.
The Louvre Museum is one of the largest and most famous museums in the world. The building lies in the centre of Paris, between the Seine river and the Rue de Rivoli. It´s central courtyard is now occupied by I.M. Pei's glass pyramid providing a modern entrance to the various museums.
It includes masterpieces such as the Venus of Milo, the Winged Victory of Samothrace, the Mona Lisa of Leonard da Vinci, and so many others.

I like the darkness of your image. It has a gloomy subtle hue to it. Nice composition and nice exposure.

A good contrast between the old & the new. I like the dappled lighting on the clouds & the tricolor flag.

Such a wonderful, old place, and the addition of the modern structure works so well to bind old to new. The people add a nice touch, as it is people who bind old to new through history and memory.

This is a good shot of this very photographed place. The balance of the photos is well composed. The pyramid breaking the frame acts as a perfect counterpoint to the older palace portion of the complex. And your point of view allows a broad feel in this tighter view. All these people add an interest grounding the pyramid. And the sky adds a sort of moodiness that adds to but does not distract the eyes. Perhaps it could be a little sharper, I think. I think some details in the facade could come out a little more strongly. But you certainly got nice shading here. Well done.

Belo enquadramento, Marco, resultando numa excelente composição; gosto bastante da inclusão da pirâmide, que contrasta muito bem com o Louvre, sendo as pessoas um valor adicional para a foto, bem como o céu fortemente nublado.

Boa imagem do Louvre.
