Photographer’s Note
When the light is right in Paris, you can see where the impressionists got their inspiration from. This shot was taken in the late afternoon, close to sunset; I was walking down one of the ramps to the Seine when I looked behind me and saw this building in this light. I don't know the building, but it's near the Hotel de Ville on the right bank.
Technical: Sharpened in RAW and CS3. Slight cropping. I raised Brightness and Contrast, more than I would for my own use, because TE seems to dim them.

Hello Daniel,
Brightness and contrast are just fine with me.
I can understand that you liked this view. I enjoy the palatial building, the lamp-post and the tree, all lined up along the diagonal line formed by the wall. I also like the cloud behind the lamp and the strong vertical lines of the tower and the lamp-post.
A very enjyable photo.
Regards,
Gert
