The Elephant range is located in the Fontainebleau forest, just near the village of Larchant.

a sandstone rock which shape looks like an elephant has given its name to this range of rocks around.

Voilà que j'ai envie d'aller à Fontainebleau.Je vais de temps en temps dans cette magnifique forêt mais c'est plutôt à la recherche des champignons,je ne pense pas assez à la photo sur le lieu.La preuve est devant mes yeux!Du bel ouvrage ces couleurs naturelles.

Big rocks for sure and showing evidence of water erosion. Good shot with soft colours. The vertical format works well here to show a nice balance od fore and background. Good sharpness and clarity. The place seem peaceful and very natural. Thanks Christian.

Bonjour, Christian. Le contraste entre la roche et la bruyère fonctionne à merveille et crée une très jolie atmosphère. La photo a une escellente profondeur.

Hi Christian,
The colours seem a bit soft, but for this image they fit perfectly to each other. The soft pink from the flowers in front form a nice path to the tree, i like that.
It seems also that you use often the vertical composition in your images, new way if thinking and composing, or just a matter of circumstances.
Anyway, this one looks very nice.

Toutes mes félicitations pour cette vue de la forêt de Fontainebleau. Je la connais bien (j'y suis née et y ai habité longtemps!) et c'est vraiment un paysage typique avec les rochers et les callunes (bruyères) qui se détachent sur ce vert très particulier des pins. Il ne manque qu'un tout petit peu de sable blanc!
