The big hall
One counts some that some of this architecture in France, it remains one of most remarkable with that of Milly-la-Forêt. The construction of the market which initially counted 8 spans and not southern pinion would go up all at the end of XVe century. It followed upon a first work destroyed by the fire of the village in 1282. The frame whose base plate is in oak rested initially with same the ground which, by moisture, damaged wood. In 1666, it was necessary to remove a span to build the southern pinion in masonry, to install transverse and longitudinal oblique reinforcements and to make put back the 28 feet on stone bases (replaced again in 1769). It underwent during the year a 2003 complete restoration which made it possible to restore some truths on its construction and to put an end to the legend which allotted its construction to Anne de Pisseleu en 1540 with a frame in chestnut explaining the absence of cobwebs. It always shelters the market of Monday
