Photographer’s Note

The Church: Dom Morin, big prior of Ferrières and historian of the Gâtinais, makes of Jean II d' Egreville the founder of the first Church Martinmas which he makes build from the chapel of Fief at the same time as he rebuilds the city ravaged by a terrible fire in 1282.
This first church connected certainly the Chapel of Fief with the big square tower (which shelters the hall today) which keeps(preserves) its character of the XIIIth. This big tower then had to serve as bell tower.

One found the vestiges of the wooden primitive roof during works. Impractical, a little reached(affected) during the One hundred years war, little favorable to the interview(maintenance), the church was reconstructed under Louis XI and dedicated on February 12th, 1483.
Reconstructed from the primitive church by adding it the highly-rated bottom, it's what what explains the asymmetry of the architecture where one finds some Romanic Art, it's in this time when was created the current hall, always classified Ancient memorial.

The arrow was built later in the XVIth century certainly by Anne DE PISSELEU (the same skeleton as the hall). His(her, its) sat(based) has been completely repairing after works of a high professional skill.
The church was then restored in 1821. During the revolution, different desecrations will get(touch) the church and its crypt which is now empty.
Some gravestones were saved: the one marble black is that OF the AYMOND OF EGREVILLE and his wife, she(it) is classified and serves as altar in the heart of the church
