Photographer’s Note
When the sky is heavily loaded{*charged*} with clouds and when a piece of blue sky bursts a part of these, the atmosphere which gets free of it seems almost apocalyptic!

Really striking...the sky really swamps the landscape, which gives the photo a great sense of menace.

A marvellous sky. I like the composition, the location of the church being key to the picture's impact. Converting this to B&W gives another remarkable image; with the loss of the blue patches, the mood becomes even more ominous. I have taken the liberty of posting a workshop, because I think comparisons between colour and B&W are often interesting. Whatever the medium, a superb photograph.

La qualité de cette photographie restitue parfaitement la "lourdeur" des nuages : le cadrage donnant une très large part au ciel, le village sombre, et la mince bande de prairie en premier plan restitue parfaitement cette prise en sandwich... La luminosité est très belle. Bravo!

Bonjour Philippe,
La prise de vue dirige notre regard vers l'église et les maisons du village sosus un ciel de tempête. Les arbres cadrent bien le village. Le ciel nuageux filtre la lumière qui donne des couleurs plus foncées au paysage et un effet dramatique. Bonne journée.
